Howdy,

I have a Coby 7022 that I'm trying to breath life back into again. Still running stock GB 2.3.3. Have CWM 5.0 installed. Can boot OK, but Nand partition seems to be hosed. Space shows as 1GB, but Nand "unavailable" in storage properties. Market installed, but I can't install any apps. No space issue due to "unavaliable" Nand partition? Downloads immediately Fail. New 7022 firmware needed? I found this site through references in the androidtablets.net site. I appreciate any help.

my Coby.

My Coby is
my first tablet and I believe it´s running on OS 2.1.

I work on but do not own a kyros my nieces do.
They have a kyros mid7015b
I have tried to root one of them it seemed to work but didn't.
The unit works fine but battery life is short and i want to put ics but not sure how yet

I use a asus transformer myself with ics on it works wonderful.

Hi, I'm Desdinova.
Have had a Coby Kyros 8408-4 for about a month now and am really liking it. I rooted it recently so I could have access to Goog;le Play.
Found this site looking for information on enhancements, etc. for it. Would love to be able to charge it over USB.
Have not installed Clockwork recovery on it. I have had an older Anroid 2.2 tablet, this is an upgrade for that and I wanted something with a 4:3 screen ration which makes it easier for me to read on.

I have just purchased a Kyros MID8127. I got it as a display model from QVC. When I got it it had a pattern lock on it and I can't get into it. I would love to know how to do a hard reset on it. I have pushed the small reset button on the bottom with a paperclip. I have booted into the fastboot menu but cannot get my computer to recognize it. I can see the file structure but that is all when connected by USB. Please help......I found your site by looking on Google..

I believe so, But it is stuck in a boot loop (most likely due to a dead battery)

Have you installed Clockwork Recovery or KTZ Recovery?

I have installed Clockwork Recovery (and ktzrom bulldog)

Have you ever own a Tablet prior to the Kyros?

Not really (only android phones)

Are you still on Android OS 2.1?

I am not sure I cannot check it at the moment. (My first phone had gingerbread and my new one has ICS)

I came back to this site looking for a new (more updated) rom or stock Firmware image. (I am from the U.S.)

I collect electronics and computers as a hobby I own chinese knockoffs of several different android pads including the Wowpad3, a Wowpad quad-core prototype, several telechips tablets in various sizes included a 5x4 inch display that looks like a TomTom and includes GPS. I also have had several Coby Kyros as well as Archos and Asus tablets. Currently I have a Kyros Mid7048 on order to mess with. I found the forum by doing a dogpile search.

Recently took interest in Kyros MID 8120.No one seems to know much about where to acquire the firmware and how to flash. Hoping to get info wherever I can and share what I come up with. This looks like the perfect place. I've only had a single Kyros come into my place curiously .Sooo I'm guessing they are pretty reliable machines and have a need to know more.

I'm a FanFiction writer and student. I found KTZ by chance, I own a Kyros (Don't know how to pronounce it though. XD), the model being the MID7036-4. I've rooted with Vamp's Gapps ROM, I have not installed clockwork recovery or KTZ recovery, I've owned 3 of these tablets, having bricked the first and broken the charge port of the second, and also own a Sony reader. I'm on Android 4.03 I believe.

Hello, I am a user of coby kyros 7059 new model which has 3g with phone call option, I have a problem, when my tablet become hot it just got hanged and after restart the tablet it only stucks on coby logo, after restore mode it again stucks on coby logo.

Hello,
I am a user of coby kyros 7059 3g tablet with phone call option. I have a problem with my coby, when my device becomes hot it hanged and when I restart it just stuck on coby logo. After restore the firmware it again hanged and after restart it again stuck on coby logo. I hope it has stock ROM problem. Please I need an urgent help about this matter. Please inform me is there any solution for this kind of problem.

The stock version of this tablet is fairly infuriating. I would love some help on flashing a custom rom to it. I notice that you have the resistive touchscreen Kyros ROM (8127) but not one for the 8120. Hopefully we can work together and make me love this cheap-ass tablet. haha

Well, I found KTZ looking for a rom to update my 7022 from 2.3 to 4.0. I haven't yet rooted it or installed a recovery. I used to have a Pandigital Novel.

I found KTZ by searching google for a forum of coby kyros tablets.

I have rooted my tablet- I have never done it before... and I think I ruined it! Sad

I have not installed Clockwork Recovery or KTZ Recovery... im not sure what that is...
I have never owned a tablet before and I like technology but it doesn't like me... Im hoping this forum will HELP!

I found kyros tablet zone when i was searching for the right firmware since i bricked my MID 7042-4g and got stuck on E:signature verfication failed and can't install any flashable zips.
I own Coby kyros mid7042
i rooted it.. but after installing busybox i got stuck on the android logo.
I have not installed Clockwork Recovery or KTZ Recovery and i have no idea how to use it
anyway this is my 2nd tablet the 1st one was an eagle eye tablet...
i really hope you can help me fix my tablet any help will be appreciated Smile

I own a kyros 7033-4, not the best of kyros but it was a gift.
Just needed alot of info on it, as I havent seen a root for it yet and my wifi keeps disconnecting when using it

I found this site Searching for info. on Coby tablets probably close to 3 yrs. ago. I haven't been on very much in the last year and the site has changed.

I recently purchased a used 9042 to begin exploring the world of rooted tablets. I've never rooted t but after reading forums like this I hope to learn enough to be successful.

I have a playbook and other family memebers have tablets but none are rooted. I'm interested in an upgraded Rom from KTZ
