Its too early in the morning I bought my kyros used...I just want to upgrade to 2.3...and I am famous for skipping over details like this....thanks I am not a rrobot.

My name is |James I found KTZ through a google search, couldn't find anything on XDA for the KEROS 7036-4. I bought a 7036-4 for my 4 year old to put some childrens learning games on instead of one of those leapfrog setups for 3 times as much and 40 dollars a game. I am getting ready to root it and put a rom on it that comes close to AOSP if I can find one. It currently has Android 4.0 ICS. First KYROS.

I got several of these for family to stay in touch but got them and they don't come with google anything. We communicate with google and would like to have the market as well. I am trying to find out how to root and install google apps including market. I have tried zroot and a few others but the google apps start to load then just close. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a kyros 7015 and I like it. It is my comic book reader.
I dont really play games on it. I found out about this place when I was researching gingerbread for the kyros. I have since updated to gingerbread and used the honeycomb theme. I am always on the look out for tweaks that can boost memory or speed.

I have owned my KYROS 7015 for a few years now. I followed Tipster over from another Android tablet site when he started it, but had to create a new account because I could not remember my login. I have used many of Tipsters products in the past, the latest one I used was his Honeycomb theme. I have had the tablet rooted before and used Clockwork Recovery. Currently the tablet is running Coby's updated 2.3.3 image (non-rooted) using kernel 2.6.35.7, but will probably have BD 90 on it soon...

Hi,

I have a Coby 7015 that I've owned for a couple of years now. I've been on this forum for just about as long, hacking the tablet as soon as I got it. I've rooted it and put clockwork recovery on it the second day I owned it. Have been using Tipsters mods the whole time. It's been fun.

I've just start experimenting with the hdmi out the watch movies on a big screen tv. Only been a day but it seems to work well. I would prefer the audio of the coby to not play while the movie is playing, but I discovered that if you only set the volume to about half way you don't hear it. You just have to crank the tv volume a little.

It's been a fun ride so far and I'm interested to see what else can be done with the OG Coby 7015.

Hello, I am living in the US right now and I just got my got my kyros Blac MID7042-4 with Android 4.0. I found that forum because I am looking for the best ROM for that tablet.
Is there really a big difference if you would take a ROM for the kyros 7022 or 7042 or are all the tablets from kyros mainly the same? I didnt do any adjustments to my kyros yet.

I am kinda new to Android tablets...I had an android phone and loved it...I'm going back to android with my next phone since I had personal experience that Iphone's suck...I paid $199 for this kyros and it didn't do much out of the box...I just want my investment to do more than what it did...for that, I am sure I need an OS upgrade...Since Coby will not offer one for this tablet, I decided to look else where. Surprised

First of HELLO ALL. I'm new to the tablet seen. But not the pc. I've been building my own for over 20 plus. I purchased a G-tablet and Coby mid7012 with the idea to learn as much as I can. Motorcycle Red Neck Geek Riding Disabled Vet. Who keeps his brain on the training boards so it wont dry up. So I haven't done any thing yet to the 7012 and looking forward to leaning how to do everything to it. I was doing my research on the web when I found this great sight and decided it was the place to be. Great info I found so far lots to reads. Looking forward to more. Again Hi all:cheers:

I found KTZ via XDA forums
This Kyros md7010 found me by way of Dubai and now i'm trying to see if it can be updated.
the model is MD 7010
I haven't rooted it yet, but i'm on my way of doing so.
No clockworkMod or KTZmod yet.
I have an Ipad 1 and an i9300, had an i9000 with Froyo, but 1st day i Gingerbead it.

I am an old dude with a poopy tablet. Hoping to get a rom to make it not-so poopy.

Found it from a link off of another site.

Own a MID7012

I rooted it a while back but have no rom for it, cant get google play to work and most apps arent working.

I dont think it has clock or KTZ.

Never owned a tablet before.

on android 2.33

The tablet isn't a very good tablet but it seems like it would do better with a better rom. I am currently looking up info on the roms you have and how hard it would be to install.

anywho i may be willing to invest the 10USD or whatever the price is depending on how hard the process is. Anywho any help would be appreciated.

ells us all here who you are? I am Robert Guillot - I found KTZ while trying to upgrade my Coby Kyros MID7015A from Eclair to Gingerbread. I have rooted it already so that I could get Android Market instead of the other crappy apps store that it came with. I installed Clockwork Recovery on it. I'm hoping that the process of putting Gingerbread on the Kyros is pretty straight forward, because I can tinker with instructions given, but I'm no expert.

Good day everyone!

My names Ranzie, and I just bought an MID8048 tablet today.

I found the forum when I google'd for a way to install Google Play instead
of using the included GetJar.

Have'nt performed anything yet on the tablet except trying to factory reset the device hoping that Google Play will come up.

Android OS is ICS 4.0.3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Going from stock, to the xtreme OEM#1 OS 2.3.3 is the most stable and useful rom for my needs. The tablet runs tight, no errors/force closes. Also, streaming flash works on Skyfire browser, so I can watch justin.tv nightly... However, for some odd reason, if I flash to any bulldog build, streaming on justin.tv fails to load... the tablet is still active but touch is not working...i factory reset but nothing..i can only use the mouse on it.

I was looking for some help with my Kyros because it stopped charging.
The technician who is fixing it needs to know the MOSFET model number so he can get a new one.

So if anyone can help me, I will appreciate it.
