My name is Marcelo Teixeira (AKA GKDantas) and i found this forum in google search as many others.
I got an MID 7022 and the first thing I did was root my tablet so I could install Google Apps, to do that I also installed Clockwork.
This isnt my first tablet, I got one more cheap before but it broke and the store give me back credits so I add a little money and got this model, but after sometime I have the chance to get a Samsung Tablet and this one now below to my kid.
I got your PowerCode 540KLS now, no more Android 2.1

No. I tried to update to 2.3.3 but I used the Fix GPU and killed the tablet, now I'm trying to revive him making a return to the original 2.1.

Is not rooted yet.
I search a custom rom for my tablet, but i don´t found that model in forum.
I think that model is the same as MID7042.
It´s my first tablet.

Hello all MKDroid here,
I was just gifted a 7022 that my bro-in-law had sitting around gathering dust when he went to the dark side of the fruit world.
This is my first tablet. I've had two Android phones but have never done much to tweak either of them. I did a factory reset on the tablet when I got it and it still has 2.3.3 running.
I would like to use the tablet for access to a specific website while I am out and about. The website opens fine, but when I go to look at a person's profile that has their picture in it, the browser crashes every time. I'm trying to determine if it is a limitation of the browser, Gingerbread (same thing happens on my phone running 2.3.7), or what.
The website opens fine with the 'fruit' products so I know that it is not limited to just browsers that work in the PC environment.
If I can make this Kyros into a viable use item, powerful enough for what I need, I can see myself saving a few hundred dollars and not having to go get a newer Samsung, Asus, Acer or (don't make me say it) fruit product.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I am Tracy and I have a coby kyros mid7127. Really new to this kind of thing, but I have a basic understanding of computers and android. Running into problems because I was rooted and had some things disabled, and without thinking I did a factory reset. Now those things are GONE!! I have been searching for days for any rom, custom or stock that will return my tablet to what it was before, or at least similar. Lol, All i was trying to do to start with was increase the battery life. (any suggestions there are appreciated also) Thanks guys, hope someone can help me figure this one out!

UPDATE:: I think I found a solution. I was going through and trying to manually load all the apk files that were missing, and it occurred to me to try and reinstall the app that I was using to disable them in the first place. Once I did that, low and behold, everything that I had disabled was still right there in the disabled list. All I had to do after that was re-enable what I needed to make things function right. Lesson learned, I will know from now on to make a backup!! Praise God, I never could have bought another tablet, I must have had an angel on my shoulder today!!

I own a Kyros Mid7012 because i got it very cheap.
I have it rooted, but still trying to figure out the correct way to install a recovery.
This is my first tablet, and it is an Android 2.3.3

This thing is slow (I have no patience for slow devices) so I am here looking to push this little guy to its limit.

Got a Kyrus given to me, that was not factory firmware, dind't know this at the time but when I tried to do a factory reset is froze at boot screen and now will not go any further, I hope to be able to reflash it and upgrade it to the newest version of Andriod I can (apparently 2.3.3).

I have a stack of tablets, mostly Cobys, some of them even operational. Currently messing with a trio of "dead" 7015As (charge circuit cap blown out by overvoltage) which now charge and boot.
Lemme inerrup myself here. Why in the BLEEP do we have 5v and 9v adapters out there with not 1 but 2 sets of interchangeable plugs? Srsly, Coby? Craig? wassup widdat? so you have 9v 8024s and 5v 7125s with the same (large) port. You have Craig 9v 738Bs and 5v Coby 7015s with the same (snall) port. Hey Joe, can I borrow yer AC adapter? Sure, Bob. *snap!*...~stink~...what's that smell? That's the smell of a fresh tabletfritter, Bob. Hahahahahaha....OK, not so funny. Well, maybe a little...
Maybe I shouldn't complain, since I can pick these things up cheap, and it costs maybe 15¢ to fix 'em, but c'monnn.
So, what next? Well, a new ROM seems like just the thing. And I hear tell these can be found hereabouts. Maybe 2.3.1? maybe even 2.3.3? Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?

I've got an old Kyros 7015 laying around the house, so I'm back to see what can be done with it.

How did you find KTZ? Hours of web-searching for some non-eclair ROM for my first tablet.
Do you own a KYROS? Indeed. MID7015.
Have you rooted your tablet?Yup.
Have you installed Clockwork Recovery or KTZ Recovery? Clockwork.
Have you ever own a Tablet prior to the Kyros? Nope.
Are you still on Android OS 2.1? Nope.

Hi you all, new to the forum, I have a Coby Kyros MID7015, running 2.1, real dull, but looking to update to gingerbread 2.3.1. since I dont think I am ready for 2.3.3. anyway its rooted and running clockworkd recovery mode. I hadnt used it for a while, but since I have some time now I thought to update the old girl, jajajajaja. Any way, hi you all!, Oh! I forgot I learn about the site thru google. Shocked

my problem is that I can bad english, what I write here, I write with the google translators.

Only tablet I've had, but lots of Android phones and my wifes Kindle Fire
Yep, on 2.1

I found this site a year and a half ago before it changed to this. Had the Kyros in a drawer the last 10 months and decided to load something new and fast on it for reading when bored.
