Hello!

I'm Corbald, new to Tablets in general.
I got a Kyros 7014 and this address from a family member this x-mas.
I have a ton of experience in computers, but I'm having a heck of a time with this tablet. She sent it to me pre-rooted, but loaded with her own info, which has caused me a world of trouble.... I have no idea how to restore this thing to factory, or how to re-root it once it's in that state. I'd like it to be in the same state it was in when I got it, but with my own google info.

OS is 2.3.3, IIRC. Been trying to find a compatible ROM for an update or anything that'll allow me to access the Google Play Store, but with no luck... I'm not sure what I'm even looking for, really. Tinkering around has, apparently, borked my /system/etc/permissions to the point that I can't seem to even use ES Explorer as root anymore. Talk stopped working as well.

I must say I'm at a loss... If anyone could point me in the right direction (or explicit, step-by-step instructions would be great, too ;D ) that'd be awesome!

I am a former Apple fanboi switching over to Android. I have a galaxy SIII phone and a couple of low end android tablets my newest being the kryos mid 7036. I'd like to root it and get google play on it for the apps. From there the sky is the limit!

Hi I'am Dros. A guy in a german tablet forum introduced the forum to me. I have a Coby Kyros 8127 with JB 4.1.1.

I like to find here a guide how to root the tablet and a solution for the standby-bug which Coby can't fix for months now.

I'am familar to Android, rooted my ICS phone and am a Linux professional in my job.

Hi My name is Corey. I am a rooting virgin. My wife got a new Kindle
Fire HD for christmas and I once again got a vendor gifted obsolete
E-reader so I decided to try and root my Coby Kyros mid8125. I am an
electronics junkie. I have built a few computers and I am my families
resident go to computer repair tech. I found this site while searching
for the best site to find how to root my pad and this site kept coming
up in every search so I figured I'd check it out. Seeing how I did not
pay for any of the tablets I own, I figure what better way to get
practice rooting. And if by some chance I happen to brick it, oh well it
was free.
My 8125 is currently running Android Version 2.3.3 and as
stated above this is the start of my root so I have not installed any of
the recovery apps.

My name is Kevin. I own a 7127 and 7024. Did a google search looking for help rooting, etc. I have rooted (and now bricked) my 7127. I have not rooted the 7024. I used clockwork mod to root. No prior tablets. 7127 uses 2.3 and the 7024 uses 2.2.

Hi. I own a Kyros 7016 that is rooted and has clockwork mod on it. I got the tablet as a way to read ebooks and watch Netflix when away from home but now with the Netflix upgrades I can no longer do that so it's become basically an ebook reader with net access. I'm a retired middle school IT teacher.

Hi All,

I'm new, and have a couple Kyros MID7015 that have 2.1 on them, and would like to get GB on them if possible. I have installed a old Clockworkmod on them, and have installed a custom 2.1 rom a long time ago, but would now like to upgrade to something decent. Thanks for making KTZ and I hope I can get these upgraded without too much trouble.

Hi my name is carol, I bought a coby kyros MID9740-8 (android 4.0) for my daughter for Christmas. This is the first tablet we ever owned so I am so lost here. I finally got the thing on the network.. whew.. but it is so slow. I am playing around trying to install the upgrade but it froze on me. I hope this was not a bad purchase because she loves this thing, well at least the idea of this thing. lol.

i am new to the tablet scene so I went with the cheap Kyros 7012. Not a bad internet tool but that was about it, so I rooted and tried installing the market and now it wont get past the android screen on boot. I can access recovery mode but adb or fastboot cant find my device so i need to find the proper update.zip to install recovery from sd card. glad to be here and I hope I can help others as I get the hang of this.

Not Yet, Although I have rooted various Android Phones

Not Yet, like above have installed on Android Phones. So far I have had to install everything on the MID7015 through manually downloaded apk's as nothing seems to be downloading through http://www.getjar.com/ . Hoping this issue will resolve once I have upgraded to a later version of Android.

Hi, I'm Patricia and I own a Kyros MID1125 4GB Tablet. I don't know how to do any upgrades, can't figure out how to root, can't download flash player, no Google store, etc. So basically I'm not using the tablet much because it won't do much, very frustrating. I've been looking for a car charger for it so I can take it on road trips, but the ones I've bought don't seem to work with it.

Hello, I am plazachef1979. I read about this site from a google search. My daughter cannot remember her log in pattern for the Kyros mid7120. I have tried resetting by holding the power and back button but that didnt work. Pressing the reset button didnt either. Can any one help me?

Looking to get openvpn working on it, but the tun.ko that I have doesn't appear to provide the /dev/tun device when insmod is run. Looking for ways to fix this.

My name's Kelly. I have a MID7012. I found this forum by following a link from androidtablets.net while I was looking for information on how to root and install Android Market. I haven't rooted yet, but I'm thinking about it.

I'm using Android 2.3.3 and am interested installing custom ROMs, but I've never encountered ROMs that I've had to pay for up front. On my phone, I've been able to donate once I've tested the ROM and decided whether to keep it. Seems a bit hinky.
